Berlioz wrote the Messe Solennelle in 1824. After two performances he claimed to have destroyed the entire score. In 1991 a full score was discovered in an Antwerp organ loft. It has now become a worthy member of the great romantic choral repertoire.This performance will be the first opportunity for concert goers in Guildford to hear this work.
The programme will also include the Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, a plea for peace.The text takes the listener and performer on a journey through the stages of war starting with the marching army and concluding with the “Better is Peace.”

A £2.00 per ticket booking fee will be added to all orders. No booking fees for Friends or Groups bookings. Additionally no booking fees will be charged when tickets are booked in person by cash.
