We are fortunate to have two of the leading Russian orchestras visiting G Live as part of our 10th Anniversary Season.

First, the world famous Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra from Moscow, under the baton of Jan Latham-Koenig, the founding Artistic Director of the Britten-Shostakovich Festival Orchestra.

In a typically vibrant programme they perform Tchaikovsky’s dramatic Marche Slave, Rachmaninov’s ever popular Piano Concerto No. 2 and Mussorgsky’s grandiose Pictures at an Exhibition in the arrangement
of Henry Wood.

This concert sees the exceptionally talented young pianist, Moscow’s Pyotr Akulov take to the Guildford stage for the very first time.
