The chimes of Big Ben ring out in a shimmering, impressionist portrait of the capital at the height of its Edwardian pomp,  as the GSO celebrate Vaughan-Williams’ 150th anniversary with his masterpiece A London Symphony, in an all-British programme also featuring Walton’s Crown Imperial, Delius' Dance Rhapsody no 2, and Elgar’s haunting, autumnal Cello Concerto, forever immortalised by the iconic Jacqueline Du Pre.
